VLADIMIR SPIVAKOV IS AWARDED WITH "DIAMOND OLIVE BRANCH" MEDAL

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 20. /Mediamax/. By the decision of the scientific and trustee councils of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, famous Russian musician Vladimir Spivakov has been awarded today with "Diamond Olive Branch" medal.

The ceremony of decorating took place today in the Slavonic University. The medal is founded by the co-chairs of the scientific and trustee councils of the university - the ex Prime Minister of Armenia Armen Darbinian and vice-speaker of Russian State Duma Georgiy Bohos.

According to Darbinian, the medal is instituted in connection with the celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as state religion in Armenia.

Today, Vladimir Spivakov was also given the status of "Honorary Citizen of the Town of Spitak" for charitable activity in support of the people who suffered from the quake of 1988. --0--
