ARKANSAS GOVERNOR ISSUES PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING APRIL 24 AS A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 2. /Mediamax/. Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee issued a Proclamation recognizing April 24, 2001 as a Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide.

Mediamax was informed in the Armenian National Committee of America that the Proclamation said that "the Armenian people have not received reparations for their losses and that the present Turkish government engages in a campaign of denial of the Armenian Genocide."

During the last two weeks the Senates of California and Maryland have adopted resolutions recognizing 24 April as a Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide. --0--
