Armenia works to increase combat efficiency of its army

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan said that as a result of works on the Strategic Defense Review (SDR), Armenia’s armed forces will become more combat efficient and organized.

The Armenian armed forces will successfully protect the country, if needed, Baghdasaryan said during a sitting of an interdepartmental commission regulating works on the SDR.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense David Tonoyan presented the future document’s content, saying that it includes all provisions concerning possible threats to the national security and ways for their elimination, specifically, in the Karabakh conflict.

According to Tonoyan, it proves that the country’s defense policy is not static and the opportunities for the RA armed forces development are considered on a regular basis.

Tonoyan added that the international community will also be informed of the SDR results.
