Yerevan’s Nairit plant expects its possible managers by the end of month

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia is expecting the visit of German CAC company representatives, which is supposed to manage Nairit CJSC at the end of this month, according to Lusine Harutyunyan, Press Secretary of the Ministry.

“There could be no changes in reformation process of the plant until representatives arrive and come to a certain agreement,” Harutyunyan told PanARMENIAN.Net

As of the results of the tender dated June 30, 2011 on selection of manager for Nairit CJSC, the only application was submitted by German CAC company. However, as Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said earlier, if the German company fails to meet the requirements, terms of the tender will be prolonged. There are other companies, particularly, Russian, Polish and Iranian, showing interest towards the plant, according to him.

As regards the plant’s debt in the line of salaries to be paid to staff, the Press Secretary stated that employers were promised to pay salaries by the end of the month, but sources are still unknown.
