Armenian local self-government system turns 15 November 1, 2011 - 12:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Financial and economic base should be created in Armenia for the development of local self-government , RA Prime Minister said. “For the past 15 years works have been carried out to ensure establishment of democratic institutes in Armenia We have searched for the right model which would comply with current developments and would enable local self-government bodies to operate properly,” Tigran Sargsyan told a scientific conference organized by Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration, Armenian Union of Financiers and USAID. Dwelling on the system itself, the Prime Minister noted that public administration functions were delegated top-down ensuring a more effective solution to the existing problems.
