As a representative of Railways of Georgia state company told Regnum news agency, representatives of business circles of Russia, Georgia and Armenia expressed readiness to invest in the building of the branch line. It should be reminded that a railway line, crossing the border in Sadakhlo frontier point, connects Armenia and Georgia at the moment. It should be noted that the Transcaucasian railway, of which the mentioned section is part, does not allow Armenian cargo transporters to deliver their goods to Russia, as the Abkhazian part of the main line is closed at present.
