PACE ARMENIAN DELEGATION HEAD HOVHANNES HOVHANNISIAN MADE STATEMENT ON 87-TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY IN 1915

PanARMENIAN.Net - At PACE April 24 session Armenian delegation head Hovhannes Hovhannisian made a statement on the occasion of the 87-th anniversary of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915. As reported by Armenian foreign ministry press service to «Arminfo» agency, Hovhannes Hovhannisian noted in his speech that the Armenians from around the world and the progressive humanity marked April 24 as commemoration day of the innocent victims of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey. He called upon Council of Europe deputies to commemorate the genocide victims and expressed gratitude to all those, who had joined the statement. PACE Turkish delegation tried to hamper Hovhannisian's appearance, but the PACE Chairman did not let them have the floor.
