"ARMENTEL" COMPANY AGREED TO LOWER SOME SERVICE TARIFFS SIGNIFICANTLY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Minister of Transport and Communication of Armenia Andranik Manukian stated today that "ArmenTel" company would lower the tariffs for some services May 1. In particular according to the agreement reached, the price for common telephone connection will be halved, and international conversations will be cheapened 50%. Besides, the fixed payment for telephone use will be reduced 20%. Notable lowering of the price for using communication channels by Internet providers is also planned. (They will have to pay $25 thousand instead of the current $36.) Curtailing cellular communication tariffs is also planned July 1. In the Minister's words, an agreement is reached to reduce the cost of a minute of conversation on mobile telephone from 18 cents to 15. And the cost of the minute will come down to 13 cents beginning with September.
