RESTORATION OF RAIL COMMUNICATION VIA ABKHAZIA DISCUSSED IN TBILISI

PanARMENIAN.Net - Restoration of rail communication via Sochi-Tbilisi strip is being discussed at a conference on cooperation between rail departments in the Georgian capital today. As the rail department of Georgia told "Arminfo" agency, the issue will be discussed by deputy minister of communications of Russia and the leadership of the ministry of transport of Georgia. It should be noted that Armenia is interested in restoration of the railway, being the only rail link between Armenia and Russia, as much as Russia and Georgia are. Earlier Russian sources reported that, at the suggestion of the Russian ministry of communications, examination of the technical conditions of the communications within the Sochi-Tbilisi lot will be held at the initial stage. Data analysis will let determine urgent problems, the work direction and the volume of the project funding.
