THE EUROPEN DIPLOMAT CLAIMS THAT A PRINCIPAL AGREEMENT ABOUT THE OPENING OF THE CORRIDORS THROUGH MEGHRI AND LACHIN IS REACHED

''Echo'' newspaper, published in Baku, informs that the ex-ambassador of the European Union in Russia Michael Emerson, who is now the expert of the European center of political studies in Brussel, has given an interveiw to the Turkish newspaper ''Zaman'' that, it can be said, is sensational. Emeron claims that the Karabakh side was very close to the agrement cuncluding, but the radically turned nationalists in Azerbaijani opposition prevented that. In that situation, the Minsk group could do nothing but freeze the peaceful settlement process. However the ex-diplomat is sure that the cochairmen will offer the sides a new detailed variant of the settlement in the nearest future. Emerson has lifted the veil of the secret of some details of the plan, that has been already made agree. In particular, according to his words, it is achived the principal agreement about the opening of the Megri and Lachin corridors under the garranties of the peacemaking forces. Emerson points out that the corridor opening will help the realization of the transport projects ''Silk way'' and ''East-West'', that are supported by the European Union. In emerson's opinion, exectly this kind of the solution will help to achive stability in Caucasus.After the agreement signing, the embargo put by Azerbaijan and Turkey on Armenia, will be abolished.
