Japan supports Karabakh conflict settlement within OSCE Minsk Group format

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 17, the Armenian and Japanese Foreign Ministries held bilateral political consultations in Yerevan.

The Armenian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Minasyan, while the Japanese delegation – by Japanese Foreign Ministry’s Special Representative for Caucasus Masaru Watanabe, the RA MFA Press service told PanARMENIAN.Net

The parties discussed bilateral relations, including development of the contractual-legal basis, cooperation in international organizations, economic cooperation, as well as facilitation of trade, economic and cultural ties.

Besides, regional matters were in the focus of the meeting. At the request of Japanese diplomats, the Armenian side briefed on developments around the Karabakh conflict settlement.

The Japanese side expressed support to the conflict settlement within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

After completion of the consultations, the head of the Japanese delegation will conduct a lecture on Eastern Asia and Japan at the MFA Diplomatic School.
