SESSION OF THE COMMITTEE OF MINISTERS OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE HOPES FOR A PROGRESS IN THE TALKS ON KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 11. /Mediamax/. The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE) expressed the hope today for progress of the OSCE Minsk Process towards settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

As Mediamax was told today in the press service of the Council of Europe, this is stated in the final communique, accepted upon the results of the session of the Committee of Ministers of CoE, held May 10-11 in Strasbourg.

European ministers stressed that the solution of this conflict will contribute to respect of human rights, democratic stability and the rule of law in the whole Caucasus region.

The Ministers called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to pursue the democratic reforms and meet the commitments accepted in the context of their accession. --0--
