CONSTITUENT CONGRESS OF NKR UNION OF JOURNALISTS WAS HELD IN STEPANAKERT

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, February 16. /Mediamax/. On February 16 the Constituent congress of the Union of Journalists of NKR was held in Stepanakert, in the work of which about 50 journalists took part, the correspondent of Mediamax reported from NKR capital.

Since the time of proclamation of the Nagorno-Karabakhi Republic, the organization has been established twice, but due to a number of objective and subjective reasons it was actually not working.

The congress elected Kim Gabrielian, the editor of "Yeghitsi Luis" paper, published in Stepanakert, the chairman of the Union by the majority of votes. The board of the organization in the composition of 7 persons was also elected. The charter of the Union was fixed, in accord with which the congresses will be summoned once in three years.

As Kim Gabrielian noted in his speech, the new Union of Journalists of NKR is called to become a real acting organization and help the uniting of representatives of the fourth power to assist the consolidation of statehood of Nagorno Karabakh, the settlement of professional and social problems. -0-
