THE RESULTS OF WORKS, REALIZED WITHIN THE FRAMES OF HUMANITARIAN AID AND CHARITY, ARE SUMMED UP

At the regular session of the central commission on humanitarian aid distribution at the Armenian Government, preliminary results of the works, realized in 2000 within the frames of humanitarian aid and charity, were discussed, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Government of Armenia.

In particular, loads having a customs value of 41 billion drams arrived to Armenia last year from 36 countries, addressed to 147 Armenian organizations. 44% of this aid were intended for the health sphere, and 26.3% constituted food products.

In the course of the work of the session, the commission approved 7 charity programs for 2001. -0-
