ONLY 6 PRISONERS-OF-WAR AND HOSTAGES WERE RETURNED TO KARABAKH IN 1994-2000

PanARMENIAN.Net - 09.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. On February 11-13 a conference will be held in Tbilisi, dedicated to the problems of the search of people, missing in war and peace time. Delegations from Caucasian states will participate in the conference, to which representatives of the Union of the relatives of the missing soldiers of NKR are also invited.

As the chairman of the Union Vera Grigorian told Mediamax, NKR delegation is going to suggest that all the prisoners-of war and missing people be released on the principle of "All to all", without connecting this with the final resolution of the conflict.

Mrs. Grigorian said 600 people are included in the lists of the Union, 200 of which are militaries. In her words, only 6 hostages and prisoners-of- war were returned to Karabakh in the period from 1994 to 2000. --0--
