ARMENIA PRONOUNCED LEAST CORRUPT COUNTRY OF SOUTH CAUCASUS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Transparency International non-governmental organization published the annual report of Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index 2003, which was compiled according to the results of researches carried out in 133 countries of the world. Three former soviet republics, namely Azerbaijan (124-th position), Georgia and Uzbekistan occupied positions in the top ten of the most corrupt countries. Armenia is the 78-th, abutting on Iran, Turkey and Lebanon. Bangladesh was declared the most corrupt country, meanwhile Finland, Denmark, Island and New Zealand showed the least number of bribe takers.
