Armenia seizes 1 ton of cocaine worth €250 million

PanARMENIAN.Net - A company importing fruits to Armenia has brought 1 ton of cocaine to the country via the Panama-Italy-Georgia route, the National Security Service reports.

The haul, which is currently with the National Security Service, is worth more than 250 million euros.

It was reported earlier, that police in southern Italy seized 2,700 kg of highly pure cocaine hidden in two refrigerated containers containing bananas. The shipment had come from Guayaquil in Ecuador and its final destination was Armenia, via the Black Sea port of Batumi in Georgia.
