March 19, 2011 PanARMENIAN.Net - To activate Armenian governmental institutions’ cooperation with structures in question, the PM instructed all ministers and heads of the institutions to prepare specific projects. As he said, meetings he held in Brussels proved there is a great potential for expansion of EU-Armenia relations. As part of implementation of reforms in tax and customs administration, Armenia asked EU partners to create a buffer fund to secure macroeconomic stability, if problems arise during tax collection. It was agreed that the matter will be discussed with European experts and the reforms program in Armenia will be presented to them. The damage caused by the global financial crisis to Armenia's economy and reforms was also considered. Armenia and the EU representatives also touched upon a legislative initiative on introduction of unified system for stock accounting through barcodes. All goods are currently registered in Europe via a single system. “We will receive a technical assistance from our European partners with respect to it. In my opinion, the technical assistance may considerably improve our legislative opportunities,” PM Sargsyan said. Thus, Armenian authorities are resolved to continue with the European integration policy, being confident is support they will get from the EU institutions, which gave a green light to the reforms.
