Earthquake hits southeastern Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the town of Roodbar, in Kerman province, southeastern Iran, on Monday, March 26.

According to Fars News Agency, the Seismological center of Kerman province affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 04:36am local time (0006GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was located in an area 58.7 degrees in longitude and 27.8 degrees in latitude.

There are yet no reports on the number of possible casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
