ARMENIAN CARGO BLOCKED AT BATUMI PORT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Due to the economic blockage of Adzharia, Armenian loads were blocked at the Batumi port. As Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian told journalists, at present the Armenian party is undertaking all measures to take its loads out of the port terminals. It should be reminded that earlier Executive Director of the largest forwarder company of Armenia Gagik Aghajanian stated Armenia would try to diversify the Armenia-Black Sea freight flow from Batumi to the Poti port. Meanwhile, as reported by Georgian sources, the Poti port does not cope with the freight flow, which has sharply increased due to the blockade of Adzharia. The Poti dockers manage to process only 30% of the cargo arriving at the port.
