Prosperous Armenia candidates list very competitive – party memberMarch 28, 2012 - 16:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group Aram Safaryan commented on his party’s electoral list for the oncoming parliamentary race. “We consider our electoral list quite competitive,” he said at a political discussion on candidates lists and programs of parties. According to Mr. Safaryan, Prosperous Armenia’s candidates list comprises leading politicians, economists, lawyers and political analysts. “Famous politicians having greatly contributed to the party’s activity, new politicians that stepped up cooperation with us in recent years and integrated into our team, are included in the list,” he added. Mr. Safaryan further attached great importance to the number of youth representatives in Prosperous Armenia’s electoral list, noting that young politicians nearly make the 30% of the top twenty of the list. The event was organized by Armenian Center of Political and International Studies through support of National Democratic Institute (NDI). Armenian parliamentary elections are due on May 6, with eight political parties and one bloc (Armenian National Congress) running for them.
