Armenian consumer market faces 0.1% inflation in March against Feb 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - 0.1% inflation was registered in Armenia’s consumer market in March against February 2012.

Price for food products (including alcohol and tobacco) went down by 0.1%, while non-food commodities rose in price by 0.8%. The mentioned period also saw 0.2% tariff increase in the sphere of services.

The consumer market of Armenia faced a 2.2% price growth in March 2012 as compared to the same period in 2011. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, this is mostly stipulated by 2.3% increased prices for food stuff (including alcohol and tobacco) and 3.9% growth for non-food commodities. During the mentioned period, tariffs in the sphere of services grew by 1.3 per cent.

It is worth noting that March 2012 recorded 0,1-0,8% consumer price hike in 8 surveyed cities, while other 3 showed 0,7-0.2% deflation as compared to February.

As to the capital, here the consumer prices went up by 0.1 per cent.
