Georgia to test first home-made drone![]() April 9, 2012 - 23:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on Monday, April 9, he will attend Tuesday’s test of Georgia’s first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), RIA Novosti reported. “Tomorrow I will test our first drone, which has been designed to the highest technological specifications,” Saakashvili said. “More Georgian technology will follow.” According to Valery Yakhnovets, the defense minister of the former Georgian republic of South Ossetia, Georgia currently uses Israeli-made Hermes 450S, Skylark I and Skylark II UAVs. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
