Filmmaker Khzmalyan's wife confirms her candidacy to CEC - paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - Press secretary of Armenia's Central Election Commission (CEC) told a reporter of Haykakan Zhamanak daily that Narine Mirzoyan, spouse of well-known filmmaker Tigran Khzmalyan, listed 116th on the proportional list of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, submitted a certificate stating she has been permanent resident of Armenia during the past five years.

This is important information since Khzmalyan claimed neither he nor his wife were aware that Mirzoyan was included in RPA list, the paper says.

Meanwhile, in order to get the mentioned certificate, Mirzoyan had to come to the passport department personally and file an application stating her wish to run for parliament.

On April 10, the paper's reporter tried to contact Narine Mirzoyan over telephone but the latter disconnected her phone thus indirectly confirming that her husband did not quite tell the truth, the paper concludes.
