Paper says Syunik governor set to ensure record votes for RPA

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak paper, governor of Armenia's Syunik province Suren Khachatryan has decided to set a record in collecting votes for the Republican Party of Armenia in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The paper quotes its sources as saying that Khachatryan repeatedly claimed he will set record among other governors by securing 80 per cent of votes for RPA. Some reports say that the key motive behind this determination is the urge to maintain his position.

The paper tried to get the governor's comment on this. Khachatryan responded briefly: “I believe RPA’s all governors are determined to provide a record number of votes.”

So, Syunik’s population can abandon their hope to get rid of its notorious governor if they vote for RPA, Hraparak says.
