ARMENIAN OPPOSITION SAID APRIL 16 RALLY WILL TAKE PLACE IN ANY CASEApril 15, 2004 - 22:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The rally of the united opposition of Armenia, planned for April 16, will take place in any case, leader of Justice opposition bloc Stepan Demirchian told journalists today. Nevertheless, in his words, the opposition leadership has addressed the Yerevan Administration a request to sanction the meeting. As of the venue, as S. Demirchian explained, the opposition is agree to hold it in any other place, as April 16 celebrations on the Police Day will be held in the Liberty Square, where the meeting had been planned to be held earlier. The Justice leader found it difficult to answer the question whether the meeting will develop into a procession again, as, in his words, the situation in the country is extremely tense and opposition does not wish it to become uncontrolled.
