Moscow to host Arto Tunçboyacıyan’s concert May 19

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 19, Moscow International House of Music will host a unique folk concert of Grammy 2010 and Audience World Music Award 2006 winner Arto Tunçboyacıyan and his group Armenian Navy Band. Jazz saxophonist Igor Butman, Aquarium rock band’s leader Boris Grebenshchikov, Russian showman Pavel Volya will also participate in the concert, armenia.ru. reported.

Arto Tunçboyacıyan is a Turkish-Armenian musician. A famous avant-garde folk artist appeared on more than 200 records in Europe before arriving in the United States, where he went to work with numerous jazz legends including Chet Baker, Al Di Meola, and Joe Zawinul as well as a semi-regular stint with Paul Winter and the Earth Band. Arto fronts his own group called the Armenian Navy Band.
