Russian diplomat: Moscow won’t tolerate new war in Karabakh![]() April 18, 2012 - 21:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia won’t show tolerance should the war in Karabakh resume, the issue being a painful one to Moscow, according to the First Vice Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats. As Vladimir Kazimirov noted at Yerevan hosted-discussions dedicated to 20th anniversary of Armenian-Russian diplomatic ties, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (including Russia) must take best efforts to prevent a new war in Karabakh. “The mediators must continue with their line of conflict prevention,” the diplomat said. Dwelling on Russia’s position in case of a possible conflict, the diplomat voiced his personal opinion, noting that the country, as a leading player in Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), will find itself in a difficult situation unable to openly support any of the conflicting parties. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
