Turkey willing to create own diaspora as counterforce – expert![]() April 20, 2012 - 15:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has started implementation of a new policy aiming to create own diaspora, director of the Regional Studies Center said. “With Turkey having hosted a meeting of 500 representatives of Turkish NGOs worldwide, a similar gathering is planed to be organized with participation of 2000 representatives,” Richard Giragosian said, adding that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev named the Armenian Diaspora as the “key tool to generate problems.” “We must be ready for Turkish and Azerbaijani steps,” the expert said, noting his plan to meet with Turkish journalists, most of whom recognize the Armenian Genocide during private conversations. Mr. Giragosian voiced hope that Armenian President’s pledge to intensify efforts in Armenian Genocide recognition campaign will be brought to life. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
