16,4% growth recorded in Russian gas supply to Armenia in Q1![]() April 23, 2012 - 18:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In January-March 2012 natural gas supply from Russia to Armenia totaled 619.4 million cubic meters increasing by 16,4% against the last year’s index. 563.1 4 million cubic meters of natural gas was realized in January-March 2012, growing by 15,7 % compared with the same period of 2011. In the first quarter of 2012, natural gas consumption volume totaled 265.6 million cubic meters, increasing by 19,8% against the last year’s index. 17,3% and 13,6% gas consumption growth was recorded in energy and industry sectors respectively, totaling 77.7 and 44.4 million cubic meters, ArmRosGazprom press service reported. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision.
