Foreign Ministry spokesman: EU supports OSCE MG policies on Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Ministry spokesman commented on recent European Parliament resolutions adopted in the context of Association Agreement talks with Armenia and Azerbaijan.

As Tigran Balayan told PanARMENIAN.Net “the EP-adopted resolutions have always contained recommendations to EU executive authorities. EU maintains official position of support for OSCE Minsk Group policies, which also meet Armenia’s interests.”

On April 18, 2012, the European Parliament (EP) adopted two resolutions in the context of the negotiations for the new Association Agreements with Armenia and with Azerbaijan. Prevailing in the report are core values for the Eastern Partnership, especially on a continued democratization and a balanced approach to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The report is particularly supportive for Armenia but also reminds of the remaining homework.
