ARFD to back journalist candidate in Yerevan’s 4th constituencyApril 30, 2012 - 16:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun will support candidacy of journalist Satenik Seyranyan who runs independently by majority system in constituency 4 in Yerevan's Arabkir district, Aghvan Vardanyan said. “Satenik Seyranyan nominated herself as an independent candidate; I think participation of such professional journalist in the National Assembly will be positive,” coordinator of ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s election campaign told the journalists on April 30. According to Vardanyan, Dashnaktsutyun did not support other opposition candidates nominated in this constituency, because it considers Aram Manukyan (ANC) and Zaruhi Postanjyan (Heritage) to be rivals similar to Artak Sargsyan, owner of SAS supermarkets chain supported by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia. Dashnaktsutyun representative believes Seyranyan is much likely to join the next parliament.
