EBRD PRESIDENT ARRIVED IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Jean Lemier arrived in Yerevan today. As reported by the EBRD, the regional visit is due to the Bank new initiative to support a number of developing countries, with which it cooperates, including Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Today Jean Lemier will meet with Armenian entrepreneurs and bankers, with whom he will discuss prospects of EBRD participation in the economy of Armenia. Tomorrow meetings with the country top leadership are expected. It should be reminded that as of March 31, 2004, the EBRD approved 11 programs in Armenia totaling 137 million euros, of which 103.4 million euros are already provided.
