Expert: parties will use silence day to bribe voters![]() May 2, 2012 - 16:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The election campaign was monotonous, inconsequent and even passive, Nvard Melkonian, head of SPRING PR company told journalists on May 2. Expert in political technologies Karen Kocharyan shares his colleague’s viewpoint saying opposition candidate Nikol Pashinyan's 30-second statement was the most successful one in this campaign, which, however, the Armenian National Congress failed to use it properly. “This was one of the best moves in this campaign, I think,” Kocharyan said stated. According to the expert, the election silence preceding the voting day will be the most active day of the campaign, and parties “will be much active in silently distributing the money [for electoral bribes]”. Experts claim that TV broadcasting was quite free during the election campaign. TV demonstrated “openness never seen for the past 20 years; all mass media were open”, according to them. “We’ve never had so many open platforms, and not only on TV, during the past years. One just needs to make use of it,” Melkonyan said. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
