RPA backs Gagik Tsarukyan in Kotayk province![]() May 2, 2012 - 17:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of Armenia, leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan visited Kotayk province to meet with the local population. “I urge you to be very serious on election day, more serious than ever. You should by all means take into consideration which political force will secure legal protection and civil rights for you and your family, as well as contribute to sustainable prosperity for you and all people of Armenia,” the President said in his speech. Sargsyan called for active participation in May 6 voting since the outcomes of the elections will determine the path for advancement of the Republic of Armenia. “We all must realize that these elections provide a great opportunity for choosing legitimate authorities by free and fair voting. Also, I urge you not to increase the hostility. After May 6, May 7 and 8 will come, and life will continue. I’d like to see us more united after the elections, so that we can join efforts in building a better Armenia in future,” the head of the state said. President Sargsyan also said since RPA has proposed no candidate in Kotayk province, they support candidacy of Gagik Tsarukyan nominated here. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
