Google announces winners of 2012 U.S. Doodle 4 Google contest![]() May 2, 2012 - 18:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google has announced the 50 state winners of its 2012 U.S. Doodle 4 Google contest, which awards the best kids’ artwork on a particular theme, Mashable reports. This year’s theme was "If I could travel in time, I’d visit…" and it yielded 114,000 submissions - a new record for the contest, Google says. Google will hold events in schools all around the country to celebrate the young artists; furthermore, at the end of the contest, all 50 state winners will have their artwork exhibited at the New York Public Library. Finally, the artwork of all 250 state finalists - which includes the 50 state winners - will be displayed in local exhibitions in their respective states. The voting is open from May 2 until May 10, and Google will announce the national winner on May 17, at a national award ceremony in New York City.
