RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTER GIVES POSITIVE ESTIMATE TO SIC CDM SITTING IN YEREVANMay 21, 2004 - 22:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Council of the Defense Ministers (CDM) of the CIS member-states adopted a number of resolutions on planning joint measures for operative training of the Armed Forces of the CIS countries for the next year, Russian defense minister Sergey Ivanov told journalists today when commenting on the outcomes of the CIS CDM sitting that was held in the Armenian capital city. "We also took decisions to activate the collective forces for preserving peace in the Commonwealth, provide security of military aviation flights and create a joint communication system", the minister reported.
