Arclight Films picks up rights for "Crawlspace" sci-fi thriller![]() May 3, 2012 - 18:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Arclight Films has picked up worldwide rights, excluding North America, for the Australian sci-fi actioner "Crawlspace", The Wrap said. The thriller will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and figures among the slate of edgy offerings in the company's Darclight division. "Crawlspace" centers on an elite squad of soldiers sent to rescue a science team besieged by mysterious forces inside a top-secret military compound in Australia. Writer-director Justin Dix's cast includes Ditch Davey, Peta Sergeant, John Brumpton, Amber Clayton and Leslie Simpson. Dix honed his special-effects skills in Episodes II and III of the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, "Revenge of the Sith" and "Attack of the Clones." XYZ Films acquired the North American rights to "Crawlspace," produced by John Finemore for Wicked of Oz studios, Wolf Creek and Maker Films.
