ANC last rally before elections launched in Yerevan![]() May 3, 2012 - 19:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The last rally of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) before the parliamentary elections launched at Yerevan’s Liberty Square. Armenian National Movement board chair Aram Manukyan delivered the opening speech, noting that ANC launched its election campaign on April 10 in Armenian town of Aparan and completed it on May 1 in Gyumri city. He further hailed the course of ANC campaign, voicing gratitude to citizens for it. “Long live Armenian citizens, who themselves determine their future,” he said. Parliamentary elections, due in Armenia on May 6, feature 8 political parties, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC). ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
