Burn victims in Yerevan blast will be left with no scars – doctor

PanARMENIAN.Net - All injuries caused by the explosion of helium balloons at Yerevan’s Republic Square are assessed as moderate burns, head of the resuscitation department at Erebuni medical center said.

“There are no patients with severe burns. Everyone is provided with necessary medical assistance,” Harutyun Mangoyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Asked whether there will be scars left after treatment, he said, “according to the preliminary assessment of doctors, there must be no serious scars left.”

As of May 5, 11 am, 25 burn victims were at resuscitation department, with 78 patients already out of hospital, according to RA Ministry of Healthcare.
