Opposition leader appreciates ANC ex-member, paper says![]() May 12, 2012 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrossian commented on recent statement by Republic party head Aram Sargsyan, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports. Sargsyan declared he renounces his deputy mandate and quits ANC. “I highly appreciate our 4-year-long close cooperation with Sargsyan and his significant contribution to ANC establishment,” the paper quotes Ter-Petrossian as saying. “If it appears that he has chosen the right path, I’ll be happy for him. As to his statement, it’s difficult to assess it now,” opposition leader said adding that “life will show” whether the move was a correct one or not, Haykakan Zhamanak reports. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
