Heritage candidate to maintain her deputy mandate - paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - Zaruhi Postanjyan, the 3rd on Heritage's proportional list did not refuse her deputy mandate in the next parliament, Haykakan Zhamanak paper says.

“This issue was not discussed in the party, and rumors about putting down the mandate are not true,” the daily quotes Postanjyan as saying.

On May 11, the rumors spread on the internet that Heritage member is going to reject her mandate in the next parliament, with different reasons quoted.

Some assumed Postanjyan quits the parliament because she learnt Heritage cooperates with the authorities; others claimed she is forced to put down the mandate in favour of Tevan Poghosyan, listed 6th on the party’s list.

Heritage got five deputy mandates in the parliamentary voting, and if none quits their mandate now, Raffi Hovannisian, Khachatur Kokobelyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, Ruben Hakobyan and Alexander Arzumanyan will join the National Assembly, paper says.
