Putin: CIS countries are Russia’s closest strategic partners

PanARMENIAN.Net - CIS countries remain Russia’s closest strategic partners, Russian President said.

“All aspects of cooperation with CIS member-states are extremely vital for our country,” RIA Novosti quoted Vladimir Putin as saying during the opening of CIS informal summit.

According to him, this implies issues related to social and economic development, strengthening of humanitarian ties and cooperation in the international arena.

President Putin further noted CIS and CSTO meetings as the first major international events Russia hosted following the presidential elections.
