CSTO urges rapid finalization of Karabakh settlement principles

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) issued a declaration in Moscow, confirming adherence to peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.CSTO urged for rapid finalization of basic principles of conflict settlement trough the mediation of OSCE Minsk Group, and based on the norms of international law. The document stressed non-use of force, territorial integrity and people’s right for self-determination as the main principles to be observed.

CSTO leaders also voiced their support for rapid solution to Syria crisis through the efforts of Syria people and with the country’s sovereignty preserved.

The Organization leaders reiterated their adherence to UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan-backed peaceful settlement plan.

“The international community must disallow the Middle East from becoming a source of new challenges to global stability,” the declaration concluded.
