EVERYTHING SHOULD BE DONE TO SUSTAIN CEASE-FIRE BETWEEN ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN, US AMBASSADOR SAIDJune 17, 2004 - 23:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Everything should be done to sustain the cease-fire between Armenia and Azerbaijan, US Ambassador to Armenia John Ordway told journalists in Yerevan today. He expressed concern over the cases of breaking the cease-fire regime at the contact line of the Armenian and Azeri armed forces becoming more frequent lately. We state our anxiety on the occasion to both parties, the Ambassador noted, categorically coming against the repetition of such incidents, which have "a negative impact both on the peace process and the building of democracy in the region."![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
