Ukraine's public transport to go round the clock at Euro 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Public transport in Ukraine's four Euro 2012 host cities is to work around the clock, the country's tournament director has said.

Ukraine expects at least 1.4 million fans to descend on the country for the competition starting June 8, when match tickets will grant them free access to public transport on game days, RIA Novosti reported.

Markiyan Lubkivsky said on the competition website that buses, trains and trams in Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv will be laid on through the night after games to cope with the influx.

"On match days and the morning after matches, public transport will work with shorter intervals to pick everybody up," Lubkivsky said.

Neighboring Poland is a co-host of the tournament.
