Expert: Prosperous Armenia may join coalition if offered favorable terms

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to political expert Alexander Iskandaryan at present, political forces in Armenia are busy discussing formation of a coalition.

As Iskandaryan told a news conference, Orinats Yerkir is sure to form a coalition with Orinats Yerkir which the expert called an “RPA spoiler.” “Other parties’ joining the coalition is still questionable, though Serzh Sargsyan will clearly benefit from more MPs to back him at presidential elections.”

“The main issue with Prosperous Armenia’s joining the coalition is what the party will be offered in return. Should a consensus be found between what it demands and what it’s offered, it won’t be long till it joins the coalition. Most probably, the party hasn’t been offered favorable enough terms.

At the same time, Prosperous Armenia lacks both resource and suitable politicians to join the opposition,” the expert said.
