As well-informed sources told Zhoghovurd, “President Sargsyan learned that Shaboyan reports to Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan about every step he takes. Shaboyan asks PM’s permission even if in case some organization is to be fined.” When asked to comment on the issue above, SCPEC spokesperson Gayane Sahakyan called the information absurd. “Mr Shaboyan has good relations both with President and PM, with no disagreement arising between them. SCPEC activities have been given high assessment. No decision of the Commission has been discussed with either PM of the President, the SCPEC being an independent institution,” the paper quoted Ms Sahakyan as saying. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
