Coalition to expand after presidential race – paper![]() May 31, 2012 - 12:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), President Serzh Sargsyan and Orinats Yerkir head Arthur Baghdasaryan signed a memorandum on coalition on May 30, 9 pm, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports. The document text is rather short, with endorsement of Serzh Sargsyan at 2013 presidential race as its main goal. The coalition is expected to expand following the presidential elections, with Heritage rumored to possibly join it, the paper says. President Sargsyan has discussed the issue with a number of political forces, while RPA spokesman has officially confirmed that Armenian leader holds political consolations with other party heads, including Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
