U.S. drone strike kills at least 3 militants in Pakistan![]() June 2, 2012 - 11:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A U.S. drone strike targeting a vehicle in Pakistan's northwestern tribal belt killed at least three militants on Saturday, security officials said, the latest in a recent spate of attacks. The strike took place in Khawashi Khel village, five kilometers (three miles) west of Wana, the main town in the South Waziristan tribal district which borders Afghanistan, a Pakistani security official told AFP on condition of anonymity. "The US drone fired two missiles which completely destroyed the vehicle. At least three militants have been killed," the security official said. Another official said the attack took place as militants were trying to move from one area to another near the border, AFP reported. There have been a series of U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan since a NATO conference on Afghanistan in Chicago last month. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
